2025 HOCM Mini-Conference: Thursday, May 8, 2025
POMS College of Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management (HOCM)
The HOCM College* annual mini-conference will be held on Thursday, May 8, one day before the main conference. This year’s mini-conference will be a field trip to the International Rescue Committee (IRC)’s Headquarters in Atlanta. This is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with practitioners and colleagues that will inform and inspire your research!
Founded by Albert Einstein in 1933, the IRC provides resettlement, asylum, and integration services in communities across the USA and Europe. Through these services, IRC empowers individuals and communities to become self-reliant with a particular focus on the unique needs of women and girls.
You can register for the HOCM POMS mini conference while registering for the POMS conference, so be sure to look out during online registration check-out! Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
For your travel arrangements, note that buses will leave the conference venue around 1 p.m. and return around 5.30 p.m., just before the reception.
